1. How to raise a concern

If you have a concern about work carried out by 4 Dimension Construction, please contact us in writing at info@4dmc.co.uk.

To help us identify your project and understand the issue, please include:

  • Your name and property address.
  • A clear description of your concern.
  • Relevant dates, including when the issue first became apparent.
  • Photographs or supporting documents, where helpful.
  • The outcome you would like us to consider.

We recommend raising concerns as soon as reasonably practical after becoming aware of an issue.

2. Reviewing your complaint

We will review the information provided and consider the concern in relation to the agreed project scope, relevant documentation and circumstances.

Depending on the nature of the issue, this may involve:

  • Reviewing the original quotation and agreed variations.
  • Examining relevant correspondence, photographs or project records.
  • Requesting additional information.
  • Arranging an inspection of the work where appropriate.

3. Discussing a resolution

Following our review, we will discuss our findings and any appropriate next steps with you.

Where a defect is attributable to our workmanship and falls within the applicable guarantee, we will discuss suitable remedial action.

Other concerns will be considered in light of the agreed project arrangements and applicable legal responsibilities.

Any proposed additional work or changes outside the original agreement should be clearly explained and agreed in writing.

4. Workmanship guarantees and product warranties

4 Dimension Construction provides a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering qualifying defects in the construction and installation workmanship we carry out.

Manufacturer and supplier warranties are separate from our workmanship guarantee.

Where customers have supplied their own materials, this does not remove our responsibility for the installation workmanship we have undertaken.

A concern arising outside the 12-month guarantee period is not automatically excluded from consideration under applicable statutory rights.

Further information is available in our Workmanship Guarantee document.

5. If your concern remains unresolved

If you remain dissatisfied after discussing the matter with us, please explain the outstanding concerns in writing so they can be considered further.

Independent advice may help you understand the options available for resolving a dispute.

Where appropriate, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) may provide a way of seeking a resolution without court proceedings. Any particular ADR arrangements or participation commitments will depend on the circumstances and applicable requirements.

6. Your statutory rights

This procedure does not replace or restrict your statutory consumer rights.

Nothing in this document prevents you from seeking independent advice or exercising rights and remedies available under applicable law.
